The festive season is once more upon us and it seems a pertinent year to be supporting one another, one way to do this is choosing to shop small and local. From ethical fashion to sustainably made jewellery or the most gorgeous candles; whatever it may be that you are after, it’s very likely there’s a small business that can provide this. Not only does shopping small help support local businesses, but it’s better on the planet. From wasted plastic to harmful production, many of the major corporations care much more about profits than they do protecting their workers or our earth. That’s why finding affordable and sustainable goodies is a must.
This year has been hard hitting on many independent businesses, but there are lots of ways to support them and help them thrive; whether you simply follow their journey on social media, share them with a friend or choose to shop with them, it all helps! Check out our pick of fellow sustainable and independent businesses 🌈
